Ashtalea has been recognized as a master of using her arms and upper body to emulate softness, gentility, grace and emotion in Middle Eastern dance.  In this class, she will let you in on her secrets for conditioning and technique to help you better understand how your arms, hands and torso play a huge roll with the belly dance mechanics/steps you have already learned.  Come learn to embrace your arms with Ashtalea and you will see how it improves your performance to better embrace the audience.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced, learn skills and tricks to lift your dance performance and costuming to a whole new level. Appear to be a true professional.  First we will work with choreography with emphasis on creating a performance that is sophisticated, complex and detailed, i.e. use of the space, feeling tones, dynamics, props, etc. Then we will learn how to plan and execute an appropriate, flattering costume no matter what your budget. Plan to take notes.
